WHO ARE WE ?
 Academic research
Based at one of Europe's most highly
ranked business schools, EM LYON, the IFGE is a research center whose mission
is to gather together and deepen knowledge of corporate governance,
particularly in France. It is associated with other research laboratories,
and is a founding member of the ECGG, a research network linking researchers
from Europe's best business schools.

Think-tank: a space for reflection
The IFGE has «something to say» not only
to experts in the field of corporate governance, bur also to society at
large. It is for this reason that the IFGE has created a Òsocial laboratoryÓ
in which both academics and practitioners exchange and cultivate ideas of
mutual interest.
Thus, the IFGE is at the heart of a
network of partners who participate actively in its work (businesses, unions,
consultants, NGOs).

A Research Team
Directed by Pierre Yves Gomez, professor
of strategy and founder of the IFGE, the research team is made up of over
twenty experienced researchers and doctoral candidates. The individual work
of each researcher contributes to the advancement and accomplishment of the
Institute's program.

Built up systematically over the past
decade, IFGE's databases comprise a significant quantity of information:
- on all companies of the SBF 250, covering the period 2000-2006
- on 260 unlisted SMEs
- on 200 firms founded fewer than 5 years ago.
